MORE than 6,000 has been raised for good causes by the East Clevedon United Benefice.
Throughout this year, its five member churches have held numerous events to collect cash for charity.
Including a skittles night, silent auction, flower festival, coffee mornings and a jubilee timeline event, the project has resulted in 6,801 being collected.
The proceeds will now be divided between Alabare, which supports men recovering from addiction through Andrew House in Clevedon, the dementia charity Brace and Christian Aid for its work in malaria prevention overseas.
Reverend Noel Hector said: “I am delighted with the success of the project and I thank everyone who has responded so generously.”
