Fashion fans splashed out on new outfits during a fundraiser in Nailsea.

Christ Church hosted a fashion show with M&Co and models of all ages sported clothing from the retailer to give potential buyers the chance to see the outfits in action.

More than 120 people flocked to the church to enjoy the event, which raised £425 for church funds.

Jill Roake, chairman of the welcoming and events group at the church, said: “It was really well received by the local community.”

All the money raised from the fashion show will go towards the church’s project to make the building more inclusive and family friendly.

The church, in Christchurch Close, also wants to make the building more accessible for people in wheelchairs and plans include replacing the pews with chairs.

Worshipers need to raise £500,000 for the project which they are hoping to start later this year.
