Toddlers have raised hundreds of pounds for charity by walking in Clevedon.

Staff, parents and infants from Clevedon Montessori Nursery in Albert Road walked along the seafront for Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest children’s charity.

Generous sponsors helped the group raise almost £400 for the charity.

A nursery spokesman said: “The children were sponsored to walk from the nursery to the Salthouse Fields where we all shared a picnic and the children had a lot of fun with races and games.

“So far we have managed to collect £375 with more to come.”

Clevedon Montessori Nursery turned 30 in 2017 and has raised lots of cash for different groups in that time.

Last year it gave more than £200 to North Somerset Council’s Home-Start scheme.
