Youngsters have raised hundreds of pounds for a Clevedon charity by holding a coffee morning.

The Barn in Great Western Road hosted the event where the group sold their homemade cakes, organised a lucky dip and raffle, and also played games.

A total of £166.50 was raised on the day for MARLENS, the organisation that maintains and promotes the town’s Marine Lake.

Annie Smith, centre manager at the Barn, said: “The event was well supported and just about everyone went home with a raffle prize thanks to some generous donations.”

For more information about the Barn and its activities, contact Annie on 01275 343990 or attend its annual meeting which will be held at 2.30pm on December 1 at the town council building in Old Street.
