SCRABBLE: Keen Scrabble players are holding a charity tournament in October to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West in Wraxall.

Nailsea Scrabble Club is organising its third annual tournament and members hope to attract players from across the South West.

The event is being held on October 23 at Mizzymead Recreation Centre and those interested in taking part can email chairman Pam Sparkes at pam.sparkes@talktalk.net or call 01275 464864.

Over the past two years the event has raised £900 for the charity and the club is hoping to raise more than £500 this year. The club is also appealing for people to donate raffle prizes for the event.
