Two people launched themselves into the icy cold water by Clevedon Pier for MIND.

Onlookers could see Jake McVitty and Eamonn Geoghegan – the latter dressed as Wonder Woman, go for a refreshingly cold swim.

The pair, who both work for Aquarian Cladding, raised £220 for the charity, with the dip part of Eamonn's list of fundraising challenges he will undertake this year.

He said: “The pictures does not tell the true story as the water was extremely cold. It's OK if you are athletes wanting a cold bath but for us mere mortals it was not so refreshing.

“But it is all for a great cause and I'd like to thank my brave colleague Jake, who was Robin to my Wonder Woman, for taking part with me.”
