Thousands of pounds were raised in a pre-Christmas fundraiser.
The Elves On The Run event has been held in Clevedon over the past couple of year to support vital charities.
This year, the funds collected were split between St Peter’s Hospice, in Bristol, and Springboard Opportunity Group.
Dozens of people dressed in Christmas attire to run around town, but the wet conditions did not help matters.
Although some decided to find other ways to get around the course, including by using a scooter.
Organiser Barney Feely said: “It was a complete washout in the morning in terms of both weather and turn up.
“But we had a very busy day at the (Crab Apple) pub and the money taken from the face-painting, grotto, raffle and other fundraising activity got us to £2,100.
“So it was a great result in the end from a rather damp start.
“The money raised gets split evenly between St Peter’s Hospice and Springboard.”
