A hospice is encouraging people in North Somerset to host their own fundraising events this summer.

St Peter’s Hospice, which cares for people with life-limiting illnesses, is asking people to hold garden parties, barbecues, picnics and afternoon tea events in June, July and August to raise money for the cause.

The hospice, in Bristol, is hoping to raise £3,500 from its summer party campaign, which would pay for a community nurse specialist for 12 months.
