Two charities have teamed up to breathe new life into a flower bed in Pound Lane.

Nailsea Community Trust has sponsored a flower bed outside the police and fire station and Nailsea in Bloom's talented volunteers have filled it with colourful flowers.

The partnership has helped to brighten up one of the main routes into the town.

Nancy Elliott from the trust said: "The directors believe in supporting projects that enhance a sense of community and help develop pride in what has been achieved.

"They are pleased to support Nailsea in Bloom's work, which brings much pleasure to those who enjoy the beautiful results."

Nailsea Community Trust has given more than £140,000 to individuals, organisations and community events which benefit residents of Nailsea, Backwell, Wraxall, Tickenham and Chelvey.
