A CLEVEDON singer has progressed from busking on city streets to recording and releasing his first solo album.

Cemlyn Jones has played his songs on the streets of Paris, Bristol and Bath to name a few and after two years of work has now completed his album, All These Dreams.

Cemlyn, aged 46, asked his long-time friend John Brierley to produce the album and it was recorded at Lisa Stansfield’s Gracieland studio in Rochdale with the help of sound engineer Steven Boyce Buckley, who arranged the strings and brass.

As a result, 11 original tracks written by Cemlyn were recorded.

Cemlyn said: “You have to remember I’d started with a notebook and a slightly out-of-tune guitar and now, All These Dreams, the album, has become a stunning reality.”

The album is being released on February 28 on CD and to download under John Brierley’s record label Kargo Records.
