BUSHCRAFT, making dens and wild play was on the agenda for an adventure play day at Portbury Wharf nature reserve in Portishead.
Youngsters aged six and seven joined members of the Avon Wildlife Trust team to enjoy hours of fun in the great outdoors.
Portbury Wharf community officer Neil Hutton said: “The children had a great time investigating nature, building dens, making dream catchers with twigs and decorating wood cookies.”
The event was held to mark National Playday which is traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August to celebrate children’s right to play.
