PORTISHEAD Youth Centre has received a boost from the town’s Chamber of Commerce.
Recognising that today’s teenagers are tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, the chamber elected to handover a cheque for 130 from its community donations programme, to youngsters who are raising money towards the centre’s refurbishment.
Chamber President Tony Walmsley said: “Youth are at the heart of any town and we feel it is important that the business community supports them.
“The more facilities there are for teenagers, the more we keep them and their parents, in the town. This in turn boosts our retail and leisure economy.”
