Cash boost for Nailsea scouts
A FIREWORKS display enabled a Clevedon group to donate 3,000 to 1st Nailsea Scout Group.
Clevedon and District Round Table raised the impressive amount through its annual fireworks fantasia, which drew thousands of residents to Clevedon Cricket Club for the colourful spectacle.
The scouts are currently trying to raise 150,000 for a new training and activity centre and the cash will be put towards the appeal.
Round Table chairman David Thatcher: “The firework event was a great success. Thank you to those that supported it and helped raise money for local charities and other worthy causes.”
