With work getting underway on Clevedon’s Marine Lake and the weather getting increasingly colder, the town’s canoe club has taken to practicing in a leisure centre swimming pool during the winter months.

Around 40 people of varying abilities attended the latest of the indoor sessions, which are held at Strode Leisure Centre in Strode Road on Saturdays from 4.30-6pm and will run until March 14.

A canoe club statement said: “We would like to thank all members who attended and continue to support the club. We also look forward to welcoming any new members.”
