A leading cancer charity is hosting a free course in Pill for people supporting teenagers with cancer.
Penny Brohn UK’s course, Living Well for supporters of teenagers and young people with cancer takes place at Penny Brohn UK’s National Centre, Chapel Pill Lane from 6pm on November 16 to 5pm on November 18.
The residential course is designed to help parents, siblings (over the age of 18), carers or partners of those with cancer to understand the impact caring has on themselves and explore ways of improving their health.
Esther Passingham, client co-ordinator for TYA Supporters at Penny Brohn UK believes in the value of opening up.
She said: “Supporters often overlook their own physical and mental health while they focus on their loved ones.
“Sharing experiences can really help to reduce the feeling of isolation.”
