Call for conservationists
VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help look after wildlife and their habitats in Nailsea.
North Somerset Council is looking for people to help with tree planting, meadow management, wildlife surveys and the removal of weeds at Trendlewood Way Community Park.
The site is a 5.4 hectare community park with native woodland - Nowhere Wood - and grassland with mature trees and hedges.
Trendlewood Park is one of a number of green spaces in Nailsea which are important for wildlife and recreation.
Now that the management plan for the site has been adopted the existing Friends of Nowhere Wood will become the Friends of Trendlewood Way Community Park to reflect their interest in the whole site.
Anyone interested in joining a group to help look after the community park can call Katie Spencer at North Somerset Council by emailing katie.spencer@n-somerset.gov.uk or calling 01934 426980.
