The importance for a bit of relaxation and rejuvenation, especially after what has been a tumultuous last 20 months or so for many people, should not be underestimated.
According to Jason Eaton, general manager at the club and spa at Cadbury House, the body and mind needs re-energising every now and then and no one should feel guilty for a bit of ‘me’ time.
And as the nights draw in to enjoy a bit of pampering is a great way to make yourself feel a much happier during the darker days.
Jason said: “There are plenty of benefits to a spa day, massage or facial. First, it’s a great was to de-stress and help relax – and after all the worries of the pandemic, what better way to disconnect and forget all about the day-to-day worries than a relaxing massage.
“It also helps people sleep better which, in its own right, is a vital element for the body to again relax but also mend itself.
“If you’ve got a stiff neck or shoulders then a deep tissue massage or 10 minutes in the sauna or steam room is a great way to loosen the tension and relieve and aches and pains.
“Spending the day enjoying any treatment that allows someone else to take care of you are sure to improve your mood and create a more positive outlook.

“And it’s not just the preserve for mother and daughter days or hen weekends. A lot of men now visit spas much more than they used to as it’s seen as a great way to look after the body.
“Here at the club we’ve got the perfect recipe for members and guests to recover. The steam rooms, saunas, quiet room and hot tubs are all great ways to relax. The spa also provides deep tissue massages as well as more relaxing treatments and are open to all.
“In addition, we’re about to launch a brand-new online booking system which will make it much easier for guests to reserve a treatment. It’s called RevSpa and will launch on December 6, so perfect timing for sorting out Christmas presents.”
