Work begins at Backwell inn

Building work has begun on The Rising Sun in Backwell.

The OHH Pub Company is turning the upstairs floor into five bed and breakfast rooms, the parking area is being expanded and the garden is being transforemd to include a children’s play area.

The pub, in West Town Road, wants to attract more families and will have an extensive menu with plenty of children’s options.

It is hoped the pub will be ready for mid-July.

The owners are now looking to recruit new staff and hoping to employ local people and a £250 finders fee will be given to anyone who recommends a permanent candidate.
