THE well-known retailer WHSmith will open its first store in Nailsea next year.
Plans have been put in place for the shop to open in Crown Glass Place by next Easter.
WHSmith will move into much of the unit currently occupied by the home furnishing business, Cargo, taking up 2,000sqft of retail space and 1,000sqft of upstairs storage space. The remaining area will be made available to let.
Cargo is due to close after Christmas and it is hoped the unit can be revamped in time for WHSmith to open at Easter.
WHSmith already has two stores in North Somerset - one in Clevedon and one in Weston.
