Footballers in Nailsea will soon be sporting a new kit, thanks to a shop in Nailsea.

Tout's Budgens of Nailsea donated £89 to AFC Nailsea, thanks to generous customers.

The club, which trains up players aged 16-60, was one of the groups picked for the shop's Love Local programme.

Customers were able to vote for the club from January to March using tokens in store.

Caroline Parfitt from Tout Ltd said: “AFC Nailsea is a men's football club that is now in its 13th season, providing football for those aged between 16-60 and has two teams in the Weston and District Football League.

“As a self-funding club, providing kits and resources can be tricky, therefore the money donated by Tout's Budgens, on behalf of our customers, will go towards providing a new kit for AFC Nailsea's first team.”
