Plans to turn a disused bank into a veterinary practice have won support from Yatton Parish Council.
The council’s planning committee says the plan for the former NatWest site, in High Street, would be ‘preferable’ to the site remaining empty, even though there is already a vet surgery located just across the street.
Councillors also felt the plan would improve the appearance of the village.
The idea has not been widely welcomed in the village as many people believe Yatton does not need a second veterianry practice.
