A Portishead opticians has been doing its bit to make sure youngsters in the town remain visible.
Madeline Middleton, store manager at Portishead’s Specsavers branch met with Portishead Rainbows group earlier this month.
She handed the girls a number of high-visibility vests to ensure they are safe while using the roads in North Somerset.
The session was an educational one too, with the children learning about road safety.
They then put on the hi-vis vests and got into small groups where they were taught how to cross the road safely, with the stop, look and listen message being passed on.
