BUSINESS has been booming at a popular charity shop in Clevedon.

BUSINESS has been booming at a popular charity shop in Clevedon.

Changing Lives in Clevedon held an official opening celebration this month with special guests invited to find out more about what it offers and how its proceeds are used.

The shop in Kenn Road opened its doors in July, supplying mostly second hand furniture. Since then, the volunteers have been busy serving many customers as well as carrying out numerous collection and delivery runs taking items to and from people’s homes.

Shop manager Jackie Deal said: “The shop has been given so much support by people in the Clevedon area.

“Some people have come in not realising it is a charity shop and commenting on how well it is laid out.

“Because our stock changes everyday, some customers have even begun coming in everyday to avoid missing something good.”

All the proceeds raised at Changing Lives in Clevedon is split between Andrew House, which is a halfway house in Victoria Road supporting recovering addicts, and Crisis Centre Ministries, which is based in St Paul’s in Bristol and provides help for the homeless.
