FIVE Portishead hairdressers are celebrating success after competing in the Welsh Open Hairdressing Championships.
The five stylists and trainees from Robert John Portishead salon returned from Cardiff Bay with nine medals between them.
In the prestigious Welsh Senior Ladies Championships which involved blow dry, hair up and a cut and blow dry, Ben Price won a medal for each of the three parts, making him runner up, missing out on the championship by just one point.
The other members of the Portishead team, Erin Casson, Shannon Lloyd, Hattie Bayliss and Emma Philips entered a variety of junior events. The medals won were: Bridal - Erin 1st and Emma 3rd. Female Blowdry - Hattie 2nd and Erin 3rd. The way out Ga Ga hairstyle - Shannon 2nd. Hair Up - Erin 3rd.
Group partner Jenny Hancock said: “The results show the continuing effort the stylists put into these hairdressing competitions. The day was a big success for them and as always, we are so proud of their achievements.”
