HUNDREDS of jobs will be created when Portishead’s new Sainsbury’s store is completed.
On Friday, the supermarket chain will host an open day at the offices of Alliance Homes in Martingale Way to give people the chance to find out more about the 250 full-time and part-time positions available.
To be held from noon to 4.30pm, the joint event is being put on to help those who are looking for work.
The 30,000sqft store in Serbert Way will feature a café, delicatessen and counters selling fresh meat, fish, pizza and hot food. It is due to be complete and open by October.
