Rosé wine wins Great British Food award

A North Somerset-based vineyard has scooped a prestigious award for a rosé wine it produced in honour of its managing director’s mother.
Aldwick Court Farm and Vineyard, in Redhill, picked up a Great British Food award after it was highly commended in the English Wine category.
The vineyard won the accolade for its Mary’s Rose 2015 vintage, which was named after director Sandy Luck’s mother Mary Watts.
Mary arrived at Aldwick Court as a bride in 1957 and became renowned in the surrounding area for her fantastic collections of roses.
She is now retired, but continues to support Sandy with Aldwick’s operation.
Sandy praised the staff for another award-winning wine.
She said: “The other two award-winners were sparkling wines from large, established operations in the South East.
