A NEW dry cleaners will open in Clevedon, run by staff made redundant when the town’s Johnson’s Dry Cleaners was closed.

At Your Service (AYC) in Kenn Road will open its doors on Saturday, offering customers the chance to meet the team over a hot drink and a cake.

The shop has been set up by Tracey Daniels, who worked for Johnson’s Dry Cleaners for 19 years before the Queens Square outlet was closed earlier this year, and she has employed some of her former colleagues.

As well as Dry Cleaning, AYS will offer customers a personal laundry service and clothing alterations and repairs, as well as a measuring service.

Residents outside of Clevedon can also take advantage of the AYS services by dropping off their garments at JT Shoes in Somerset Square, Nailsea, Buglers in High Street, Wrington, or Pounds Plus in Yatton’s shopping precinct. They will be collected by AYS staff, cleaned or repaired and then taken back to the shops for customers to collect.
