A budget chain has opened a store in Nailsea’s Crown Glass Shopping Centre.
Poundland welcomed its first customers on Friday by unleashing its Pound Hound mascot on shoppers.
The penny-saving pooch handed out £5 vouchers to the first 100 people through the door and also gave out balloons. Town centre manager Charlotte Jarrett said: “It is reassuring to see Crown Glass Shopping Centre is being recognised as a strong commercial location for both national brands and local specialists.
“Over recent months, not only have Poundland opened, we have also welcomed several new shops to Crown Glass including Costa, School Togs and Queenie’s Flower Shop which not only improves shopper choice it creates a focus for the entire community and an attraction for shoppers.”
