A nursery group has won a gold award for the way it encourages healthy eating.

Busy Bees, which runs a nursery in Portishead, has been praised by the Soil Association for its nutritious meals it gives its children.

The Food For Life Gold Catering Mark is awarded for several reasons, including to those groups who use ethical and sustainably-sourced foods, free from additives.

Mel Fox, senior catering manager at Busy Bees, said: “Having achieved this prestigious award we hope that our parents can feel confident that what goes into our menus to feed their children is the very best produce available.”
