A WELL-known dog and his adventurous owner popped into a grooming parlour in Nailsea to relax after their travels.

Joshua Sivarajah, aged 34, gave up his job and possessions to cycle across the UK with his dog Nero and their travels have gained many followers on social networking site Facebook.

When Joshua’s collie Nero hurt his paws, Joshua rode with him on the back of his bike. The duo covered 2,500 miles in four months and free camped most nights.

On completing their trip, Carolyn Price from Dogs Palace, High Street, invited Nero to the spa to enjoy a little pampering.

Joshua and Carloyn also launched the Dogs Palace Bark Box Appeal to encourage people to donate dog toys and equipment to the salon for Bristol Dogs Home.
