An optometrist from Nailsea is one of the first practices in the country to offer a ground-breaking new product to children with myopia.
Lynne Fernandes, who has a practice in Nailsea, is one of only two optometrists in the South West to have undergone detailed training required to prescribe the new CooperVision MiSight one-day contact lenses – the first of its kind developed for children.
The lens has been designed to reduce the progression of short-sightedness by slowing down the growth of the eyeball.
