BUSINESS owners in one area of Clevedon are looking toward a brighter future with the opening of new shops.

Traders in The Triangle and Old Church Road are optimistic the area’s viability will carry on increasing thanks to the independent businesses in many of the retail units.

Earlier this year, Thirteen Menswear opened in the former home of The Triangle Post Office.

After the post office service moved to the Co-operative store in Old Street, former post sub-master Mike Sutton decided to open his new, men’s clothing venture in the Triangle property.

Following this, Steven Smith Town and Country Estate Agents moved into the unit originally occupied by Ben John Sports and renovated it into an attractive, colourful premises.

Another move saw the St Peter’s Hospice shop move into more modern, bigger premises.

As well as the latest businesses opening, a number of retailers have been in The Triangle for a long time, supporting those new traders arriving and promoting the area for the good of everyone.

With independent florists such as Judith Locke, jewellers such as RN Searle, hairdressers such as Aspirations and gift shops such as Souk, traders in The Triangle and Old Church Road hope to offer a shopping experience different to any other high street.
