A LANDSCAPE gardener from Clevedon has been appointed as a franchisee of a successful maintenance company after fighting back from redundancy.
Oliver Morris found out he was being made redundant three years ago, just after returning from his honeymoon.
Having worked as a printer since leaving school, he was facing an uncertain future.
However, the 32-year-old of Jubilee Place, had earned extra income by cutting lawns in his spare time.
Following his passion for gardening and landscaping he made the decision to start a new business as a gardener, also building fences, patios and decks.
After a year, his work has paid off and he has now become a franchisee of Pro-Tidy - Planned Garden Maintenance.
He has been given additional training in all aspects of garden maintenance.
Oliver, a father-of-one, said: “Working on your own means that you have to do everything.
“Now that I am part of Pro-Tidy, I am free to concentrate on delivering a superior, reliable service to my customers.”
