A Clevedon sports group which is hoping to improve participation in tennis has received a sponsorship boost.

North Somerset Tennis Academy, which is based at the seafront tennis courts, has announced it has a agreed a sponsorship deal with Britannia Way-based firm Brunel Engraving Company.

The academy, which also runs sessions in schools, will use the sponsorship money to fund indoor training sessions for its youngsters, ensuring they can hone their racket skills even during the winter months.

The academy’s head coach, Stuart Bannerman, said: “Thank you to Brunel and to everyone for your support so far. North Somerset Tennis Academy is very proud to be part of the local community, and we want tennis played by all.

With support from local businesses we will continue to make tennis accessible for everyone.”
