Trade retailer Screwfix has opened a new store in Portishead today (Thursday).
The new branch, at Harbour Road Industrial Estate, has led to the creation of 13 jobs and it is hoped tradespeople will find more tools readily available in the town.
Screwfix’s new store manager, Dan Clark, said: “We’ve created 13 new jobs and employed people from around the Portishead area.
“Our new team includes people with all different levels of experience, focused on providing superb customer service to meet the needs of our busy trade customers.”
Screwfix will offer a 10 per cent discount in store until Sunday to celebrate the opening.
Mr Clark added: “I’m confident we’ve got a great location here in Portishead.
“My team and I have already been getting to know local businesses and tradespeople and look forward to working with these hardworking, friendly people.”
