Owners of the restaurant brand, Aqua, have invested £250,000 into the former Jack’s Brasserie venue in Harbour Road where they will employ 30 staff.

More than 590 people attended the official launch last week, when comedian Eddie Large and Cllr Alan McMurray were on hand to help cut the ribbon.

The family-run business, which currently owns five Aqua restaurants, has chosen to support the Pill-based charity, Penny Brohn Cancer Care, over the coming year through a number of different fundraising events.
