A new butcher shop in Portishead is winning customers with its top quality meat and friendly service.

The Butchers Block in High Street is owned by Michael Dilloway, from The Potting Shed in Tickenham, and Mark Batterham works alongside him as the master butcher.

The experts source their meat locally, dry cure their own bacon and bake their own pies to sell.

Customers can buy bacon and sausage baps, lunch time rolls, chutneys and jams, eggs, continental cured meat and cheese and also enjoy a fresh coffee.

Michael said: “We use traditional methods but put a modern twist on it with new cuts. We all enjoy cooking so we try to offer new products.”
