Small Business Saturday was celebrated in North Somerset at the start of the month.
The national initiative seeks to promote independent firms which can at times be overlooked in favour of big chains.
High streets across the district are full of thriving small businesses and Dr Liam Fox, North Somerset’s MP, visited several in Clevedon and Portishead.
Dr Fox said that he was very proud of the innovation and achievements of our small businesses.
He added he was delighted to see how businesses are embracing new opportunities and adapting and thriving in a changing trading environment.
