A NAILSEA store held a virtual harvest appeal to raise money for families in need.
Budgens, in Bristol Road, gave customers the chance to scan a coupon to donate £1 towards Clevedon Foodbank.
Generous shoppers raised £182 towards the cause and the donations were made into a food basket which was handed to Paul Gale from the charity.
Assistant store manager John Attwood said: “We are very pleased with the support we have seen from our customers during the virtual harvest.
“I think it is important for local retailers, such as Budgens, to help local causes with the support of the community.”
