Portishead’s Christmas Lights committee has been boosted by a £300 donation.

Adlington House retirement complex has sponsored the firework finale which will follow the festive lights switch on, and will take place on November 23 outside Iceland in Portishead High Street.

The illuminations will run from one end of the High Street to the other this year.

Volunteers are still needed to supply refreshments on November 22 while the lights are being put up. Anyone interested can call Barry on 01275 844301, Jonathan on 843376 or Stuart on 399029.
