A technology firm in Clevedon has been recognised for its commitment to sustainable travel at the travelwest Business Travel Awards.

Edwards, based at Kenn Business Park in Kenn Moor Drive, was rewarded with a bronze level accreditation for its travel plan.

The firm has been working with North Somerset Council’s sustainable travel team to provide electric vehicle charging points, and offer an electric pool bike to its employees.

It also provides information on local facilities, raises awareness of a car sharing scheme and provides a cycle to work scheme across the region.

Tony Baker, safety, health and environment manager for Edwards, said: “It has been a pleasure to work closely with the council’s sustainable travel team, however the journey continues as we aim to explore many other options to improve the travel options for our employees.”
