Food business keen to help reduce plastic waste opens new delivery service

An environmentally-minded business has opened in Clevedon.
SupplyWagon delivers groceries, mostly dry goods and eco-friendly cleaning products, in containers which can be collected and refilled.
Chris Boddington started the business in a bid to make more people aware of the damage plastic causes to the environment.
He said: “With SupplyWagon, you can have good quality, affordable food without any waste.
“This is our challenge to the food retail industry. We may be an ant challenging an elephant, but as this movement grows across the UK, we believe it can bring about a change of direction.”
The business will use recyclable containers, no single-use plastic, to deliver the products and would not have been air-freighted to get to the customer’s front door.
Chris hopes to branch out from his six-mile delivery radius and increase the number of food options which are available.
