A care home manager is ‘really pleased’ after receiving praise from a health watchdog.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated Norewood Lodge Care Home as 'good'.

The home, in Nore Road, was praised for safety standards, quality of care and management's leadership.

Manager Lynne Millward said: "We are really pleased with the result of the inspection and it's great to be recognised for the quality of care we are providing."

Inspectors visited Norewood in August and produced a report several weeks afterwards.

They spoke to people living at the home, with one mentioning how safe they felt at Norewood.

A relative of one resident also told the CQC they are happy knowing good care is being administered.

Norewood can cater for 44 residents over three floors.

It was rated good by the CQC on its previous visit in February 2017.
