THE NOVATECH computer store in Portishead’s Harbour Road has closed.

The Hampshire based technology company, which has been operating for more than 25 years, issued a statement saying the organisation has closed its three regional stores “because people have changed the way in which they buy technology”. The company will continue to serve its consumer customers online and via telesales, operating out of its Portsmouth head office, but finance director Duncan Payne-Shelley said: “Novatech’s growth is coming from our continued investment in the business sector, so while we will continue to serve our retail customers, our focus will be largely on the business market.”
