Clevedon businesses have voted to approve plans for a Business Improvement District (BID).

A total of 62 per cent of the 108 traders in the proposed BID area who cast a vote in the ballot supported the project, which will see businesses with a rateable value of at least £5,000 pay a two per cent levy which is estimated to raise £500,000 over the BID’s five-year period.

The money will be spent on improving connectivity, marketing and enhancment of Clevedon’s retail and leisure areas.
