Three new industrial units at a business park in Kenn have been sold prior to completion, showing a ‘pent-up demand’ for business space in the area.
The units, which started to be built in June, have already been snapped up by three businesses and work on a second phase of the development is expected to be completed in mid-2016 when three more units will be constructed.
Malcolm Gunter, director of marketing agents Williams Gunter Hardwick, said: “The speed with which the units were purchased demonstrates just how much pent-up demand there is locally for well-configured smaller industrial units available on a freehold basis.
“We have already received enquiries for the next phase, where asking prices will be approximately £125 per square metre.”
