Boost for Nailsea company
AN OIL and Gas company from Nailsea has opened up a new testing facility in the town.
GE Oil and Gas has set up a new hyperbaric test chamber which simulates extreme deep water conditions.
Dean Arnison, director for subsea control systems, said: “With growth in deep water spending by oil and gas exploration and production companies expected to reach double digits annually in the next five years, it is vital that industry growth is underpinned by safe and reliable technologies.
“The new GE Oil and Gas hyperbaric facility provides the rigorous conditions to test up to 300 mission-critical subsea control modules each year by simulating the extreme challenges of ultra deep water depths and pressures.”
