A BISTRO in Backwell has reached the finals at the Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Awards.
The 21 West Café Bistro has been nominated in the micro employer of the year category for its apprentice scheme and training.
Nailsea teenager Blake Kinnman has just completed a one-year apprenticeship at the bistro, in West Town Road, and will be offered a job in June.
Chef apprentice Emma Filer works at the bistro and also attends City of Bristol College one day a week.
Manager Jayne Grocock said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in the Micro Employer of the Year awards.”
