Art gallery in Nailsea is thriving

AN INCREASING number of artists from across North Somerset are choosing to showcase their work at an art gallery in Nailsea.

The Blue Room, in Crown Glass Place, started with just eight artists and has now stretched to 38 in just one year.

The gallery also has an ever growing list of people waiting for space to sell their work in the venue.

Amy Trevaskus, who set up the Blue Room with her mum Sheila Clifton and sister Nicola Clifton, said: “We pride ourselves in knowing exactly where everything in the shop is from, we know who made every item, where the artist lives and the story behind their inspiration. We made a promise to ourselves when we opened that we would never buy anything in and we are proud that we have kept our promise.”
