A BOOK fan from Nailsea has set up her own publishing company after she fell in love with two children’s books.

Adrianne Fitzpatrick, of Woodview Terrace, has worked as a freelance editor and book designer for 25 years.

After reading Be Quiet Bird, by A J Weaver, and The Princess and the Socks, by Helen Barber, she decided she wanted to start up her own company called Books to Treasure.

Adrianne, aged 52, said: “I came across these two books and decided I wanted to publish them.

“Helen Barber illustrated both books and they are absolutely beautiful.

“I’m very excited, but also quite nervous as well. I think these books are both worth it and I hope I’ll find other authors and illustrators to publish.”

The books are now available on retailer websites such as Amazon and Waterstones and Adrianne says she has already had some orders.

Adrianne loved reading as a child and still reads lots of books for adults and children and would love to hear from anyone who would like to get their book published. To find out more visit www.bookstotreasure.co.uk

Adrianne will also be giving away a free book to the first four Times readers who email her through the contact page on her website, stating that they saw the story in the Times. Don’t forget to leave your contact details and address so you can receive your free book.
